After more than ten years of planning, the work to deliver the master plan for the multi-million pound Heart of Slough regeneration project is well underway. The major improvements currently taking place will completely change the look of the town and help take it into the 21st century.

Bringing together partners including the Homes and Communities Agency, Slough Borough Council and Development Securities, the long-term project will transform a 29 acre site around the current Brunel roundabout in the centre of Slough.
The Heart of Slough project will completely transform the centre of Slough by bringing together:
- An iconic new Slough Bus Station – completed in May 2011
- The Curve – a learning and cultural centre
- New office developments
- Major new infrastructure improvements to help link Slough Bus and Railway Station to the town centre, and make it more pedestrian friendly – completion due in Spring 2012
Key to the project is a commitment to high-quality design, sustainable and energy-efficient housing and commercial buildings, new urban open spaces and improved public transport.
The Heart of Slough project will bring high-quality urban living to central Slough, pumping new life into the town centre and prosperity into the High Street.
Heart of Slough is a £450m investment from the public and private sectors to make Slough a great place to live, work and play. This is new money for the town, specifically for this project. No money has been diverted from providing council services to make Heart of Slough a reality.
Heart of Slough starts here and now, and provides another reason why people can be proud to be Slough.
